For the Love of Retro is one of the newest additions to the Monopoly Events family of pop culture conventions, and in 2026 we’re delighted to be bringing our latest For the Love of event: For the Love of Retro to Telford!
 
On 5-6 September we will be returning to the Telford International Centre for another star-studded celebration of everything retro  at this exceptional venue. For the Love of Retro is a nostalgia fuelled celebration of our childhood and young adult fandoms brought back to life . Headlining the convention we will host an array of talent from classic tv series and movies. You will have the chance to meet your heroes, get an item signed, a photo taken or hear stories about their incredible careers onstage. 
 
Outside of the celebs you can get your picture taken with some of our unique retro props and set builds; watch the fabulous cosplayers strut their stuff on stage (or join them); test yours skills in our retro gaming areas (No PS5’s here! We’re in SNES/Megadrive territory); watch some classic wrestling characters; take part or watch some familiar live experiences inspired by your favourite tv series from the past few decades; or browse through the unique gifts in our trader and artist areas with a large show floor for the perfect shopping experience for everyone in our community.
 
The shared fandoms and nostalgic fun is central to everything we do. Fans from all over the UK come together  at our shows every year to share their love of comics, fantasy, sci-fi, gaming, horror and cosplay. This show is no different, except our focus is very much on the pastimes and pop culture from our youth.
